1. Stability
In these uncertain economic times, our schools must remain a source of consistency and strength
for Glendale families. Stability means responsible budgeting, maintaining strong academic
programs, and protecting small class sizes—especially in early education. With proven,
experienced leadership, we can restore trust and ensure our schools remain focused on student
success, not distractions.
2. Safety
Nothing is more important than the safety of our students and staff. Every child deserves to feel
secure on campus and in the classroom. This includes strong partnerships with local police and
fire departments, clear emergency preparedness plans, drug-free campuses, and improved traffic
safety around our schools. Safe schools create the foundation for effective learning.
3. Sustainability
We must prepare our schools—and our students—for the future. That means investing in energy
efficiency, exploring renewable resources like solar power, and teaching environmental
responsibility. Sustainable practices not only protect our environment, but also reduce long-term
costs and create healthier learning environments.
4. Solvency
Fiscal responsibility is essential. Glendale Unified must live within its means while protecting
classrooms, jobs, and student programs. My record reflects prudent financial
management—maintaining reserves, avoiding layoffs, and prioritizing students and staff over
bureaucracy. We must continue to make disciplined decisions that safeguard the district’s long-
term financial health.
5. Solidarity
Strong schools are built on strong partnerships. We must bring together parents, teachers,
classified staff, local government, and the business community to work toward a shared goal:
student success. Reclaiming parents’ voices and restoring collaboration will strengthen trust and
unity across our district. Together, we can move Glendale forward.
